North Yorkshire Pension Fund - Local Pension Board

Governance arrangements recently laid before parliament mean that
all Local Government Pension Funds have to establish a 'Local
Pension Board'. North Yorkshire Council (NYC) as the Administering
Authority for North Yorkshire Pension Fund (NYPF).
The Pension Board will be made up of 9 members, 4 of which will be
employer representatives as follows:
a. 1 shall be nominated by NYC who
shall meet the requirements of the relevant regulations in relation
to avoidance of conflict with the Council's role as Administering
Authority - Councillor Steve Watson is the representative
nominated by NYC
b. 1 shall be nominated by the City
Councils, the Police and Fire bodies and the National Parks which
are employers within the Fund
c. 1 shall be nominated by all
other employers within the Fund
d. 1 shall be nominated by any
employer other than NYC
Please note that nominations can be from a suitable officer or
Member but to prevent conflicts of interest, elected Members and
officers involved in the management and administration of the Fund
are not permitted to become Pension Board members.
