Purpose:

The York Central Lead Members meeting is established to provide regular information sharing and updates only. 

The function of the meeting is to inform Group Members together with ward members of Holgate and Micklegate Wards (ie. the wards directly affected by the York Central development) of project and programme activity related to the delivery of the York Central site, allowing Group and ward members to present resident concerns and hear updates direct from York Central partners and relevant contractors, where appropriate.  

When invited members are also members of relevant committees (for example. the Planning Committee or Executive), they are required to observe the discussion only.

It is not a decision-making body and does not sit within the City of York Council’s governance framework.
