Procurement of ICT Managed Services - A Strategic Approach
Purpose of Report: This paper will describe and seek approval for
the proposed approach to procurement of the ICT managed services
contract.
The council’s current contract for the managed service
expires in 2018, and the new contract will look to procure services
that includes but are not restricted to the design, management and
support of the corporate (and some partners) voice, data and
wireless estate. The scope of the current contract includes the
fibre backbone connectivity within the City.
The proposal will include Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) as joint
client on the contract. This approach is to be discussed and agreed
at HBC’s Cabinet on October 18th 2017.
Executive are asked to: approve the proposed approach to
procurement of the ICT managed services contract.
