Each constituent authority is entitled to appoint a Member and substitute Member to TfN’s Scrutiny Committee; these can be any member of the authority except Members who are appointed to the Board (either as the Lead or Substitute member).

That due to the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority being in place from 1 February 2024, representatives from the City of York will no longer be needed for the TfN Board and Partnership Board or TFN Scrutiny committee, as the new Combined Authority supersedes the role of both the City of York and North Yorkshire Councils and membership to TfN Board and Committees will be taken from the new combined authority.
