North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel

Description

Purpose:

 

A joint committee of the nine local authorities.  Its purpose is to maintain a regular check and balance on the performance of the Police and Crime Commissioner.  The North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel covers the area served by North Yorkshire Police (ie the area of Craven District Council, Hambleton District Council, Harrogate Borough Council, North Yorkshire County Council, Richmondshire District Council, Ryedale District Council and City of York Council). 

 

Membership:

 

The Panel comprises ten councillors and two independent members.  Substitutes are not permitted.

 

Meetings:

 

North Yorkshire County Council is the host local authority and provides administrative and other support to the Panel.  For minutes of meetings click here
