Outside body

Purpose:

A partnership which brings together housing sections from all the local authorities in North Yorkshire.  The partnership’s role includes identifying and responding to key housing issues, agreeing and managing better and more accessible housing services and choices for residents.  The work of the partnership is led by the Local Government North Yorkshire and York Housing Board which is made up from all partnership authorities (each with a voting right) representation from registered provider, private developers and officers from the Home and Communities Agency in an advisory capacity.

Membership:

To be the Executive Member with responsibility for housing.

The Executive Member responsible for Housing is appointed to the Local Government York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Housing Board – the work of this partnership is led by the Board. We do not appoint an elected Member to the Partnership itself– confirmed by Tom Brittain 1/5/19 – body set to expired
