York Fair Trade City Steering Group
The Steering Group is a body required by York’s status as a Fairtrade City. Its role is to monitor York’s progress as a Fairtrade City – reporting annually to the Fairtrade Foundation – also to advise the local activist group (York Fair Trade Forum). Steering Groups must include a representative from the local authority.
Should be a Councillor but substitutes reps are acceptable.
Meetings are held 3 times per year. A time commitment of approximately 8-10 hours per year, including meeting time, preparatory work and follow up actions.
