Outside body

Purpose:

A partnership made up of representatives of public, voluntary and business organisations in York who work together to develop a shared vision for the city.  It was established in 2002.  Its purpose is to act as advocate for the city, taking the long view and identifying opportunities and challenges to work together to improve quality of life and to create a sustainable environment.  The partnership exists to provide a forum for debate and decision making at a strategic level within the city.  It acts to support and develop the key aims of the vision and strategy for York through strong leadership, driving developments and through alignment of the city’s key strategic partnerships and major strategies.
