Recycling Review Update

Purpose of Report: To provide a further report to the Executive on future kerbside recycling collection.

The Executive will be asked to: Note the recommendation for the future of kerbside recycling collections.

Update: Item deferred from 07/07/26 Executive to 09/09/26 Executive.

Reason: Following a significant and positive response to the consultation and pre-decision scrutiny, consideration of this issue has been deferred to September 2026 for additional modelling work to be undertaken. This is to better understand and respond to the challenges of switching to wheeled recycling bins in terraced areas. If approved by Executive, rollout will still take place in 2027.
