Issue details
Commissioning of additional drug and alcohol support service
Through the consolidated public health grant
awarded to York for 2026/27, a ringfenced resource must be used to
fund drugs and alcohol services in order to meet the
government’s target of a world-class treatment, prevention
and recovery system. The Executive will be asked to approve the
variance to the current contract the council holds with Change Grow
Live (CGL) Services, which commenced in July 2024 following a
competitive tender process. This will enable resource received by
the council to be passed on to CGL in order to meet strategic
objectives around drug and alcohol harm.
