Air Quality - Annual Status Report 2022

 

 

Purpose of Report: The report details the latest (2022) air quality monitoring results for York and progress on achieving measures in York’s current Air Quality Action Plan (AQAP3) to deliver further improvements in air quality.  The report also provides an update on a successful funding bid made to DEFRA’s Air Quality Grant Scheme for two projects to improve public awareness of air pollution.

 

The Executive Members will be asked to approve the report for submission to DEFRA.

Consultation process

Local authorities must submit an Annual Status Report (ASR) to DEFRA each year. No consultation outside CYC has been undertaken specifically for the purposes of compiling the ASR.  However, by considering the report in public at decision session before submission allows public consideration of the report.  Upon submission DEFRA will appraise the report and provide written feedback to CYC.
