Household Waste Recycling Centre and treatment of ‘DIY waste’ Consultation
Purpose of Report: The purpose of the report is to agree a response
from City of York Council (CYC) on a consultation by DEFRA
regarding the Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC’s) and
the treatment of ‘DIY waste’. The consultation closes
on 4 July 2022.
The Executive Member will be asked to consider the information
presented in the report and note the content of the report. The
Executive Member will also be asked to endorse the CYC response to
the consultation document so that we comply with Government
timetable for submitting a response.
