Evaluation of City of York Council’s Micro Business Grant scheme
Purpose of Report: When the COVID 19 pandemic began in early 2021,
Members agreed to set aside £1 million of Council funding to
offer immediate support of up to £1,000 for micro and small

to understand how the Council can continue to work closely so
support local businesses, consultants were procured to investigate
the impact of the Micro Business Grant in the local business
community. This report sets out their findings.
