The service of an article 4 direction requires statutory consultation involving advertisement and consultation with affected parties including residents and the parish council. The production of a strategy would not be subject to statutory consultation as it is considered to be an internal document used to prioritise resources, but it is proposed that informal consultation be carried out with relevant bodies during production of the document.
