Cycle Route Winter Treatment Pilot
Purpose of Report: To approve a winter treatment pilot that
highways would undertake in maintaining an off road cycle route
(controlled trial).
The Executive will be asked to approve to undertake an initial
pilot winter treatment on off road cycle routes to consider
practical treatment options and establish a cost base for further
consideration by members as to whether to make cycle route
treatment a permanent part of the council’s winter gritting
programme.
