Transfer and Transformation of Haxby Hall Care Home

Purpose of Report: In order to ensure the long term future of Haxby Hall care home and the provision of good quality care this report will seek consent to undertake a series of land transactions and developments.

Members will be asked to approve a number of land transactions.
These will include the lease of Haxby hall site, acquisition of land for the development of new ambulance station.

-       This item has been withdrawn pending a response to consultation from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service on the proposals, this item will return to the Forward Plan as soon as possible.

Consultation process

Consultation and communication has been ongoing with staff at Haxby Hall. Initial consultation was undertaken with residents and families at Haxby Hall. The proposals have been discussed at a number of Haxby Town council meetings, neighbouring residents have been consulted. Discussions are ongoing with Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Yorkshire Housing.
