Street Works Permits
Purpose of report: To advise on the proposed response to the
receipt of a letter from the Secretary of State for Transport
requesting that the Authority consider the implementation of a
street works permit scheme to manage construction and utility
activity on the Highway. To request Members approve further
investigation to determine an appropriate scheme for York and that
a subsequent report will be submitted to the Executive for approval
identifying a recommended scheme at a future date.
The Executive Member will be asked to approve the investigation
into potential options for the implementation of a Street Works
Permit scheme.
