The Inclusion Review and the Special Needs Capital Grant

The number of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, particularly those with complex autism and those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) conditions, is growing. This has led to a need to review current provision and identify areas where provision needs to be developed to meet need. Over the next three years York has been allocated £590K by the Department for Education through the Special Provision Capital Grant to fund additional provision for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Various projects, have been identified for the use of this funding to meet existing need.
