Licensing Policy - Sex Establishments
Purpose of Report: To
seek final approval of Licensing Policy and conditions in relation
the licensing of sex establishments.
The Executive is asked to give formal approval of a Licensing
Policy and conditions relating to the licensing of sex
establishments (sexual entertainment venues, sex shops and sex
cinemas). The Policy is expected to be approved by Gambling,
Licensing and Regulatory Committee on 6 February 2017.

Consultation process
Two consultations have taken place, the first sought the views of residents of York with regards to sexual entertainment venues, this took place between 24 June to 5 August 2015, the results of this consultation were taken into consideration when producing the proposed policy. A formal consultation on the proposed policy took place between the 8 September to 14 November 2016.

businesses in the CYC area, CAB, CVS, Churches Together in York,
