Reinstatement of Gritting Routes
Purpose of the report is for the Executive to
consider the expansion of winter gritting routes from the 1st
February 2017 in order to reinstate routes previously removed on
grounds of efficiency. Also to note that a further report will be
brought later this year to Executive to consider the adoption of
the new Statutory Guidance "Well-managed highway infrastructure"
which has an impact on both Highways maintenance and Gritting
methodologies employed by the Council. Executive is asked to
consider the report and officer recommendations.
