York Museums Trust: Renewing the Legal Relationship with the Council
Purpose of Report: The report proposes a
restructuring of the legal relationships between the Council and
York Museums Trust (YMT) in order to foster a strong relationship
between the Council and YMT, and ensure that the Council is best
able to support YMT through a new 5 year strategic plan, to
continue to develop and invest in the city’s museums and
protect the museum assets over the long-term. The Executive is
asked to agree the principles for a new legal structure.
This decision will now be made at the 28 April Executive meeting,
to enable the report to be considered following the YMT scrutiny
review report.
