Sales of Age Restricted Products

Purpose of Report: To present to the Executive Member the work undertaken by City of York Council (CYC) to prevent the illegal sales of age-restricted products and to seek the required approval for the programme of action for the next 12 months regarding the enforcement of:

i) The Children and Young Persons (Protection from Tobacco) Act 1991 in relation to cigarettes/tobacco.

ii) The Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 in relation to aerosol paint.

The Executive Member is asked to note the report and adopt the programme of education and enforcement action for the next 12 months.


This item has been withdrawn because a duplicate issue called Underage Sales Report 2016 has been added to the Forward Plan and will be considered at the Executive Member for Culture, Leisure & Tourism Decision Session on 15 April 2016.
