A Business Improvement District for York: York Business Improvement District (BID)
Purpose of Report: The report seeks to update
the Executive on the progress made in the development of the York
Business Improvement District (BID) area proposals
Executive are asked to
• Lend their support to the proposed BID for York
• Provide a commitment to maintain provision of statutory
services relevant to the BID in the city centre
• Approve the arrangements for the Council to operate the
ballot and act as the collection agent for the levy
• Consider the financial implications of the BID and how the
Council manages any costs incurred whilst assisting the
establishment of the BID.
