Purpose of Report: To present to Cabinet an options appraisal for
the delivery of a new approach to city marketing and business
development.
Members are asked:-
To approve the preferred option for delivery for city marketing and
business development.
To approve the scope of staff and budgets to be reviewed in the
establishment of the preferred option.
To approve the allocation of resource to progressing the preferred
option.
This item has been deferred to July Cabinet to allow for additional development work on the proposals.

This report contains an annex that may be considered in private as it contains Exempt Information as described in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) in that the information relates to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).
The reason for the exempt annex is due to the need to enter into discussions in relation to potential future financial contributions to Science City York, prior to the term for current arrangements coming to an end in July 2014.
