Review of Home to School Transport Policy
Purpose
of Report: The report will consider and review the council’s
home to school transport policy and will be making recommendations
to amend the policy to take into account changes to local authority
budgets, and the discretionary and statutory responsibilities of
the local authority with regard to school transport.
The Cabinet Member will be asked to consider making changes to
current transport policy in light of the council’s statutory
duty and reductions in funding available.
A decision on this item will take place on Thursday 12 December 2013 to allow for further consultation to take place.
This report will now be considered by the Cabinet Member at a public decision session on 15 January 2013 in order to allow further time for consultation.
