Haxby to Clifton Moor Cycle Route

Purpose of Report: To outline proposals to create an off-road shared use pedestrian/cycle path alongside the A1237 Outer Ring Road between Haxby Road and Wigginton Road. The proposals include crossing points on Haxby Road on both sides of the outer ring road roundabout, and on Wigginton Road to provide links enabling access to and from the route. The report will include officer comments on various technical, safety and financial considerations in relation to the proposals, together with feedback from the public consultation. The report will seek approval to implement the proposals, together with authorisation to advertise the necessary Traffic Regulation Orders.

The Cabinet Member is asked to approve the implementation of the proposals, and authorise any necessary Traffic Regulation Orders linked to the scheme proposals.
