Applefields Satellite Provision

Purpose of Report: The report will set out arrangements to maintain a satellite provision (in a mainstream secondary school) for selected pupils at Applefields School when the current provision at Burnholme Community College ends in Summer 2014.

The Cabinet Member will be asked to consider and approve the proposals for the alternative satellite provision.

This report has been slipped from October to November to allow more time for consultation and final confirmation of the new host school.

To provide appropriate time for evaluation of received options prior to recommendation to the Cabinet Member, a decision on this issue will now be taken at a public meeting of the Cabinet Member on 13 December 2012.
