20mph Speed Limit Policy Approach

Purpose of the report: The report sets out the progress made to date in implementing two pilot schemes within the city. It also sets out the policy approach to implementing 20mph speed limits across the city and what elements of the policy need to be informed by the outcome of the pilot sites. The report contains an indication of the proposed programme for when and where 20mph speed limits will be rolled out across the city and relates to the proposed programme to the petitions that have been received.

The Cabinet Member is asked to note the progress on two pilot schemes and agree the way forward on those pilots. Approve the recommendation that the 20mph speed limit policy approach be adopted.

 

This item has been withdrawn as the Cabinet Member has instructed extensive work to be undertaken in this area before a report can be provided.
