Establishment and Governance of the Local Authority Trading Company

Purpose of Report: The report details the establishment of a local authority trading company, in particular it seeks approval for the governance structures under which the company will operate.

 

Members are asked to: Approve the establishment of a local Authority trading company (LATC), wholly owned by the authority. Also to agree the articles of association presented with the paper which detail how the company will operate and the governance structures under which it will be managed. This report has been delayed to the 6 September meeting, pending the outcome of discussions on shared services.


This has now been slipped to the October meeting as officers are awaiting further information to enable the report to be finalised
