Quality and Access for all young children - Early Years Capital Grant
Purpose of report:
Allocation of government funding for projects to improve quality
and access relating to the delivery of Nursery Education Grant for
3 and 4 year olds. Three-year capital funding, available for minor
and major works in voluntary, private, independent sectors and with
childminders. The impact on children’s care and learning will
be monitored and the effects will start to become clear within six
months of the award being granted.
Members are asked to: To approve recommendations of the Places
Sub-group, Capital Panel, a sub group of the Early Years and
Extended Schools Partnership, the bids OVER £50,000 to
receive funding. Bids UNDER £50,000 will be considered at the
Decision Session- Executive Member on the 13th October 2009.
