Purpose of report: To inform the Executive of a 2 phased approach in fulfilling the council motion concerning the Sustainable Communities Act of 27th November 2008.

Members are asked to: Note the content of the report and in particular the current action being taken under Phase One. And to approve the proposed course of action detailed in Phase 2 to ensure that the council submits proposals under the SCA which will comply with the Act and the Associated Statutory Guidance.
