Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for York

Purpose of report: This is a joint report for CYC and North Yorkshire and York PCT. The main purpose is to inform the Executive about health and well-being needs for the people of York. The recommendations help to address these needs. The report is going to the PCT Board on 16th September so it is helpful to take it to Council Executive withi a week of that date.

It would be useful if it could go to CMT for comment on 20th August as PCT Board Papers will be finalised a week later.

When will the resulting effects be seen: We have alrady started to use the informtion available to develop organisation specific and shared responses, for example in SCS, LAA and joint commissioning discussions. It is intended that the report will be updated in future to demonstrate progress.

Members are asked to:
- Accept the report and those recommendations that relate to CYC activity.
- Support joint working to address identified needs.
