Outcome of the consultation on the Future Challenges for Social Care
Purpose of report: To advise members of the
outcome of consultation on the options available to meet the
challenges facing social care because of the demographic pressures,
and aspirations of older people.
Timescale: This work leads on from the Long Term Commissioning
Strategy for Older People which looks 10-15 years ahead. Any
investment plans for service change and development will be 3-5
year plans.
Resulting Effects will be seen through the consultation.
Members are asked to: Agree which options should be developed to
form investment plans for older peoples services over the next 3-5
years.

Consultation process
Two stakeholder events will be held, with
focus groups and an online survey undertaken in between the
events.
Consultees
Older peoples representatives, voluntary organisations, providers, staff partner agencies and the public will be encouraged to get involved in the consultation.
