To implement the transfer of 10 City of York Council staff to Make It York Organisation on 1 July 2015.

Background: Following a series of Cabinet Reports, members agreed the need to develop a new approach to delivering marketing, culture, tourism and business development in the City and the creation of a new organisation – Make It York.
The staffing resource for the new organisation being established from the transfer of staff from Science City York, Visit York and the transfer of 10 staff from within the Economic Development Unit, City Centre teams and Events team, City of York Council.
Make It York commenced operating as a trading organisation on 2nd April 2015. In April Science City York (1 employee) and Visit York (45 employees) staff transferred under TUPE to the Make It York organisation.
The transfer of the 10 CYC staff on 1st July 2015 concludes the agreed transfer of staffing resource in to the new organisation.
