To sell the land to Harron Homes (Yorkshire) Limited for the sum of £2,422,317. plus VAT.

The sale of the property was delegated to Director of Resources and the Corporate Landlord.

The Resources EMAP on 18th April approved the sale of the site of 0.6 hc subject to outline planning permission being obtained for residential development and S77 consent being granted. It was also agreed that the sale proceeds should be used to provide sports facilities for the adjoining Derwent School to be used by the school and community groups under a Community Use Management agreement.Following market testing the highest offer received was from Harron Homes subject to satisfactory geo-technical and environmental assessment and drainage surveys being obtained. These surveys produced some abnormal development costs and the appropriate adjustment of Harron Homes offer was agreed.
