Minutes:

It was reported that there had been one registration to speak at the meeting under the Council’s Public Participation Scheme.

 

Tom Jackson, street trader from a family run street trader since the 1980s asked for an update on the Street Trading Policy. He explained that the Christmas Market had gone well and that management operational issues had been addressed with Make it York (MiY). He noted that the next critical festive period was nine months away and he asked for clarity on the arrangements for it.

 

[Cllr Wilson joined the meeting at 5:34pm]

 

He thanked Cllr Kilbane for his involvement with the new Street Trading Policy and asked the Council to keep street traders in mind. He added that he would like to be involved in discussions on the Street Trading Policy.

This report seeks Members determination of an application to renew a Sex Establishment Licence for a sexual entertainment venue which has been made under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, Schedule 3 Control of Sex Establishments in respect of Ziggy’s (Club 55), 53-55 Micklegate, York, YO1 6LJ.

The report was withdrawn for consideration by the Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee. The Chair explained that the meeting had to be held as the agenda had been published.

 

Resolved:   That the application for the renewal of a Sex Establishment Licence for First Floor of Ziggy's (Known as Club 55) be considered by the Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee.

 

Reason:      In order to determine the application.
