  • Submit scheme proposals for the 2010/11 budget and contribute to the ward committee’s consultation on cycling and play equipment in the ward. There was also an informal ‘Have Your Say’ board which enabled residents to leave comments for councillors and council representatives.
  • Taste and experience Roman cookery and hairdressing.
  • Speak to members of the local Safer Neighbourhoods Team, see the Mobile Police Office and get cycles tagged.
  • Kids could have a go on an electric car, visit the Urbie bus, win York City FC tickets in the penalty shoot-out, take part in the Tai chi demonstration, and hook a duck with Friends of Rowntree Park.
  • Find out about amateur radio with Keith Cass
  • Talk to representatives from the Council’s City Strategy Team about the Local Development Framework.
