Westfield ward committee hosted an Older People’s Health Afternoon.  Residents were able to:

• Speak directly to their local councillors and representatives from the Neighbourhood Management Unit.  
• Speak to their local Safer Neighbourhood team and give their opinion on what the policing priorities should be for the area.
• Learn about Roman Cookery through demonstrations by the Yorkshire Museum Trust. 
• Exchange their old slippers for a new pair.
• Find out more about Warden Call and Telecare Services.
• Get advice on Fire Safety.
• Find out more about simple exercises from ‘Steady as you go’
• Get their blood pressure and ears checked.
• Get advice from a podiatrist.
• Obtain advice on healthy eating, diabetes and diets.
• Check their benefits entitlement.
• Talk to OCAY, Alzheimer’s Society, Age Concern and the Older People’s Assembly.
