Resolved:           That Councillor Boyce be elected as Chair of the meeting.

Resolved:           That it be agreed to exclude the press and public from the meeting during consideration of agenda item 5 on the grounds that it contains information relating to an individual. This information is classed as exempt under Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A to Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006.

At this point in the meeting, Members were asked to declare any personal, prejudicial or pecuniary interests in the business on the agenda. None were declared.

Consideration was given to an application for a personal licence to which North Yorkshire Police had objected to.

Members considered the evidence presented to them from the Licensing Manager, the Applicant and North Yorkshire Police.

Members had two options:

Option 1:  Reject the application.

Option 2: Grant the application.

Following careful consideration it was:

Resolved:           That the licence be granted.

Reason:              The Sub-Committee considered carefully the application for the personal licence and noted the Police evidence. They took into account the applicants change in circumstances and agreed to grant the licence.
