Members were invited to declare at this point in the meeting any personal or prejudicial interests they might have in the business on the agenda.

 

Councillor Scott declared a personal non-prejudicial interest in Executive Item 5 (Barbican Auditorium) as a resident of Fishergate.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider excluding the press and public from the meeting during consideration of any exempt information relating to briefings on Executive business, as detailed on the agenda for the Executive meeting to be held on Tuesday 22 September 2009, under Schedule 12A to Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006.

Minutes:

RESOLVED:             That the press and public not be excluded from the meeting as there was no exempt information relating to briefings on Executive business, as detailed on the agenda for the Executive meeting to be held on 22 September 2009, under Section 12A to Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

Public Participation

At this point in the meeting members of the public who have registered their wish to speak regarding an item on the agenda or an issue within the Shadow Executive’s remit can do so. The deadline for registering is Tuesday 15 September 2009, at
5.00 pm.

Minutes:

It was reported that there had been no registrations to speak at the meeting under the Council’s Public Participation Scheme.

Briefings on Executive Business

To receive any briefings requested on Executive business for 22 September 2009.

Minutes:

The Shadow Executive received briefings on the following items of business on the agenda for the Executive meeting on 22 September 2009:

  • Barbican Auditorium (Agenda item 5)
  • Future of the Hungate Employment Site (Agenda item 6) – Any questions to be emailed direct to the report author.
  • Administrative Accommodation Project Financial Update (Agenda item 7)
  • First Performance and Financial Monitor for 2009/10 (Agenda item 11)

 

In relation to the Administrative Accommodation Project Financial Update report Members requested further information in relation to the Guildhall and the costs that were in place for future maintenance. 1.

 

With regards to the First Performance and Financial Monitor for 2009/10, officers agreed to provide an email response on the percentage of the budget that the overspend on home to school transported amounted to. 2.

Safer York Partnership: Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership for the City of York pdf icon PDF 58 KB

This report responds to the Shadow Executive’s request for a briefing report on the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, developing a link with Neighbourhood Management, Councillor Calls for Action and the challenges for the year ahead.

Minutes:

RESOLVED:             That consideration of this briefing report be deferred to the Shadow Executive meeting on 14 October 2009.
