Resolved: That the minutes of the decision session held on 5 March 2024 be approved and signed by the Executive Member as a correct  record.

Minutes:

Councillor Waller spoke in relation to item 4 of the agenda and commented that the Lowfield Green development was a long way from being completed and had created opportunities to give back to the local community, he mentioned that he believed resources could have been allocated more locally than Poppleton. Councillor Waller then urged for a transport review and further consultation regarding the Lowfield Green area would be needed if more cars would be encouraged to travel there for school drop-off and pick-up times, as this would have an affect on people who walk and cycle.

Early Years Capital Grant Tender For Lowfield Green (9:06am) pdf icon PDF 293 KB

This report seeks approval for the awarding of the tender for the creation of early years and childcare places at Lowfield Green.

Resolved:

 

That the Executive Member approved the tender and £104k capital to the provider for the creation of early years and childcare places at Lowfield Green.

 

Reason:

 

To award the grant to the applicant so that local parents have access to good quality early years and childcare including forest school provision.

Minutes:

The Head of the Education Support Service presented the report and stated that this report had been brought in front of the Executive Member due to the completion of the tender process following a forecast increase in parental demand following a new development in Lowfield Green. She noted that only one tender, as outlined in the report, was successful and complete, and it was:
