Agenda, decisions and draft minutes

At this point in the meeting, Members and co-opted members are

asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary interest, or other

registerable interest, they might have in respect of business on this

agenda, if they have not already done so in advance on the

Register of Interests. The disclosure must include the nature of the

At this point in the meeting, the Executive Member was asked to declare if he had any personal interests not included on the Register of Interests or any prejudicial or disclosable pecuniary interests that he might have had in relation to the business on the agenda. None were declared.

Resolved: That the minutes of the decision session held on 23 May 2024 be approved and signed by the Executive Member as a correct record.

Webcasting of Public Meetings

It was reported that there had been no registrations to speak at the session under the Council’s Public Participation Scheme.

This report sets out and seeks approval of the revised Local Offer for Care Leavers. 

Resolved: That the Executive Member endorsed the new enhanced Offer for Care Leavers.

Reason: To strengthen the Local Offer and move away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach resulting in more flexibility for each care experienced young person.

The Head of Innovation and Children’s Champion presented the report and reported that the new local offer had been drafted following extensive consultation with care leavers. He then noted that the sentence on page 13 of the report which read: “Provide financial help with things you need like travel, getting to school/college/work, seeing family, new clothes and fees for…”, would be completed within the finalised version of the offer.

Resolved: That the Executive Member endorsed the new enhanced Offer for Care Leavers.
