To approve and sign the minutes of the Decision Session held on 23 May 2024. Minutes: Resolved: That the minutes of the decision session held on 23 May 2024 be approved and signed by the Executive Member as a correct record.

Local Offer for Care Leavers (10:08am) PDF 302 KB This report sets out and seeks approval of the revised Local Offer for Care Leavers.
Additional documents: Decision: Resolved: That the Executive Member endorsed the new enhanced Offer for Care Leavers.
Reason: To strengthen the Local Offer and move away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach resulting in more flexibility for each care experienced young person. Minutes: The Head of Innovation and Children’s Champion presented the report and reported that the new local offer had been drafted following extensive consultation with care leavers. He then noted that the sentence on page 13 of the report which read: “Provide financial help with things you need like travel, getting to school/college/work, seeing family, new clothes and fees for…”, would be completed within the finalised version of the offer.
Resolved: That the Executive Member endorsed the new enhanced Offer for Care Leavers.
Reason: To strengthen the Local Offer and move away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach resulting in more flexibility for each care experienced young person.
