This report advises members of the introduction of the Local Housing Allowance from April 2008 and its implications for the calculation and payment of Housing Benefit. This report is for information only and no decision is required.

Advice of the Advisory Panel
That the Executive Member be advised to:
(i) defer the report to the meeting in October
Decision of the Executive Member
RESOLVED:That the advice of the Advisory Panel be accepted and endorsed.
REASON:To allow more time for discussion on decision items on the agenda and to balance the number of items on the Forward Plan more evenly between meetings.
