The Director of Housing and Communities
approves the YFAS changes as set out in this decision notice and in
the supporting report.
This is an officer decision made in consultation with the relevant
Executive Members and will be noted at the next available Executive
Member Decision Session.
Options Considered:
The council could decide not to amend the YFAS
scheme for the rest of the 2024/25 year and exhaust it’s the
funding before the end of the financial year based upon the current
ongoing demand.
Options Rejected:
The option not to amend the scheme was
rejected as it would potentially leave the council unable to
provide any urgent financial support to residents for a substantial
part of the financial year.
