Purpose:
Purpose of Report: The Executive Member for Children and Young People is asked to approve the school term dates for schools for whom the Local Authority (LA) is the employer, for the school year beginning in September 2024-2025. The report also updates the Executive Member on a previously agreed strategy for setting future term dates alongside our neighbouring Local Authorities for future school years.
Decision:
Resolved: That approval be given to the term dates as in Annex B to the published report for the 2024-2025 school year.
Reason: To meet the statutory requirements of legislation including the Education Act 2002, (Section 32), and other related legislation.
