Purpose of Report: The purpose of the report is to update the Executive Member on an e-petition that the Council has received in respect of the city centre. The report will outline current provision in the city centre for the Executive Member’s consideration.

The Executive Member will be asked to consider the petition and information presented in the report.

The Council aims to give the same 28 days’ clear notice of non-key decisions as it does for key decisions, but in exceptional circumstances this may not be possible. It has not been possible to give 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make this decision due to an administrative error.

Resolved:

     i.        That the e-petition and its contents be noted.

Reason: To ensure that the views of the signatories of the e-petition and the content of the e-petition are considered.

    ii.         That the service changes that have happened over the last 12-15 months regarding the city centre and the arrangements to ensure the city centre is kept clean be noted.

Reason: To reflect on the changes that have taken place and consider if there are further recommendations the Executive Member wished to make to the service.
