Corporate Director of Economy and Place
considered the attached report which provides a review of the
processes used to assess the condition of the highway network and
proposed programmes of work to be undertaken in the financial year
2020/21.
Corporate Director based on the information provided
approved:-
(i) To proceed with the identified early works outlined in Annex 2
as soon as possible as outlined in the attached report.
(ii) Implementation of the rest of the programme be subject to
further approval and consideration of the overall financial impact
of Covid-19.
(iii) Already approved works in 2019-20 to be carried over and
where possible under Covid-19 restrictions be prioritised for
completion in the 1st Quarter.
(iv) The allocation of budgets for 2020/21 to be agreed on a
quarterly basis.
Reason: To ensure delivery of highway maintenance services in an
efficient and cost effective manner.

Option 1 - Approve and proceed with
implementation as outlined in the report and annexes.
Option 2- Reject and refuse implementation as outlined in the
report and annexes.
