Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To present applications to list The Wenlock Arms Public House, White Rose House, Costcutter Shop, Wheldrake, and Wheldrake Woods, as assets of community value.

 

The Executive Member is asked to decide whether the above properties should be added to the list of assets of community value.

 

To allow further time for consultation following an error in the original application, White Rose House will be considered at the Decision Session on 15 August  2016.

Decision:

Resolved:  (i)      That the listing of The Costcutter Shop,

Wheldrake as an Asset of Community Value be agreed.

 

                   (ii)      That the listing of Wheldrake Woods as an Asset

                             of Community Value be agreed.

 

                   (iii)     That consideration of the application in respect of

                             White Rose House, Main Street, Wheldrake be

                             deferred.

 

Reasons:   (i) and (ii)   To ensure that the Council meets the

legislative requirements of the Localism Act 2011 and promotes community access to community facilities.

 

(iii)              To allow further time for consultation

                   following an error in the original application.
