Purpose:

Purpose of Report: This report seeks the Executive Member’s approval for the City of York Council co-ordinated schemes and admission policies for the 2017/18 school year. It also seeks approval of the proposed individual school planned admission numbers (PANs) for the academic year beginning in September 2017. The report follows a period of consultation from October 2015 to December 2015.

The Executive Member for Education, Children and Young People will be asked to approve the admission arrangements (admissions policies and planned admission numbers) for all schools for whom the local authority is the admissions authority, for entry into school in September 2017.

Decision:

Resolved:  (i)      That the coordinated schemes and admissions

policies for all City of York Council schools for the 2017/18 school year, as set out in Annexes B-J and AB-AD of the report be approved.

 

                   (ii)      That the proposed individual school maximum

admission limits for the academic year beginning in September 2017, as set out in Annex A of the report, be approved.

 

Reason:              To meet the statutory requirements of the School

                             Admissions Code of Practice.
