Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To acknowledge receipt of a petition received by the Council regarding the condition of highway assets in the Langdale Avenue area. The report details the approach to highway asset management, the existing condition of the highway assets and the planned response in light of this. Links are made to wider work that is required to investigate wider issues surrounding unadopted sections of highway that are contained in the petition.

 

The Executive Member is asked to note the findings of the investigation surrounding the petition and approve further work required to fully address all issues.

Resolved: That the findings of the investigations surrounding the petitions be noted and the review of the existing policy for the adoption of private streets be approved.

 

Reason:  To ensure that the most appropriate policy is in place relating to the adoption of private streets.
